‘African Pride’ to Vietnam

The Nairobi – Hanoi direct route is operated by the airline with a new modern generation Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner capable of carrying 234 passengers with 30 business class and 204 economy seats configurations. The first flight was launched in late March 2015. The route is operated with a frequency of 3 flights per week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The plane departs from Nairobi the night before (Wednesday, June 2) to Hanoi at noon the next day. The return flight took off at midnight and landed in Nairobi early the next morning (Thursday, Sunday). Flight time is about 9 hours.

In early September 2015, Kenya Airways announced to use its largest aircraft, the Boeing 777-300ER, for the flight to Hanoi starting from September 8 until the end of the summer schedule on October 24. The Boeing 777-300ER is a new long-range aircraft that was put into operation in 2014 and currently has 3 aircraft. Unfortunately, due to declining market demand, the airline will liquidate these planes at the end of October this year.
